How To Apply For The Radboud Encouragement Scholarship For International Students

To get this scholarship, you must first receive admission to study at Radboud University. For this reason, application for a Master’s degree at Radboud University and application for The Radboud Encouragement Scholarship must be done together. Follow this few steps to apply:

  1. Log on to the OSIRIS application system to apply for admission into a Master’s degree programme at Radboud University.
  2. While filling your application, indicate that you will also like to apply for the Radboud Encouragement Scholarship.
  3. Upload two reference letters (preferably academic references).
  4. Upload your updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  5. Write and upload two motivation letters, one for the Master’s programme, another for The Radboud Encouragement scholarship.

The criteria and process of selection for both applications are different, that you gain admission into the Master’s degree programme does not guarantee that selection for the scholarship.

There is a required format for which the motivation letter must be written. Click here to download the letter format. While both motivation letters will be uploaded via the same application system, they can not be the same. The motivation letter for admission must detail why you want to study at Radboud University and why you should be offered admission, while the motivation letter for scholarship must explain why you require a scholarship to obtain a master’s degree programme at Radboud University.

The selection for the scholarship and the admission to the Master’s programme are two separate processes, admission to the Master’s programme does not imply selection for the scholarship.

Criteria For Eligibility

To apply for the Radboud Encouragement scholarship at Radboud University, Nijmegen, applicants must fulfill the following:

  • They must have not received a bachelor’s degree or any form of previous education in the Netherlands
  • Meet the English language proficiency requirement.
  • Must have gotten a fu admission into any of the English-taught master’s programmes at Radboud University.
  • Be a non-EU/non-EEA passport holder
  • Prove that you are not financially buoyant enough to finance your own study at Radboud University, or have access to other loans and grants.
  • Gained admission to study full-time for a Master’s degree at Radboud University.
